Tri-Cities Board is the free community hub for Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and Coquitlam. Concepts is the other half of that work. We rebuild websites for the organizations, businesses and creatives who make things happen here — usually as a collaboration, sometimes as paid work, and only when it is a fit.

How this works
We build first and talk after.
Nobody signs anything to see their concept. We would rather show you what your organization could have than describe it in a meeting.

We set it up, hand you a CMS to run the content, and step back. Add managed support if you want us to stay on. Walking away costs you nothing.
What you get
Nobody should have to re-type the schedule.
Most of the work of keeping a site current is copying things that already exist somewhere else. We build so that stops. The schedule comes from the system you already use, everything else is edited in plain language by whoever is on the board this season, and whatever you choose to publish reaches past your own members.

You keep Spordle, TeamSnap, or whichever provider your league runs on. We integrate with it, so whatever you choose to publish appears on the site as soon as it changes at the source.

You decide what leaves the site
Every feed is a switch, and it belongs to whoever runs the site after handover — the team manager, the coach, whoever holds the login. Turn one on when it suits the season and off when it does not. Nothing goes out because we assumed it should.
Organizations have their own rules about players, volunteers, photos and schedules, and those rules are not ours to override. Publish the game schedule and keep the roster internal. Put the store on the Board and leave the volunteer list off it. Your policy decides, not our defaults.
What we are aiming at
More people who know the organization exists, more sales through the team store, and more hands up when you ask. Volunteers and sponsors come from the same place: people who can see what you do and how to help.
A site that is always current, and a channel that reaches past your own members, is how you widen that pool. That is the whole reason we build them this way.
Who we say yes to
We choose the projects, and we say no often.
This is not an agency and we are not trying to fill a pipeline. A small team can only do a few of these properly at once, so we would rather be honest about how we pick.

Why we are doing this at all
Tri-Cities Board is free to the community. Residents browse and join for nothing, and organizations, businesses and creatives get discovery and engagement without a bill.
That only works if the good ones are actually on it. So instead of selling ads at people, we build the thing they were never going to get around to, and ask them to show up on the Board in return.
It is a trade, not a favour. You get a website you would have paid thousands for. The Tri-Cities gets one more place worth finding.
What it costs
We would rather collaborate than invoice.
Two doors in, and one optional add-on once the site is yours. Most organizations we work with come through the first door.
Collaboration
We design and build the site, set it up, hand you a CMS to run the content, and step back. You bring your organization onto Tri-Cities Board and keep it alive there.
